Clarence Green

Ogitaanikwat ~ Clarence Green (Lalou), age 70, of Shoal Lake 39 First Nation, Ontario passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.

Clarence was born in Shoal Lake, Ontario.

Clarence is survived by his wife Marilyn Anne Green of 47 years, their children, Adrian and Raymond, grandchildren, Manito, Shia, Robert and Tyler. He is also survived by his sister, Christina (Oliver) and their children Blair, Denise (James) and their children Kieran, Johnathan, Shelby and Blake, and their grandchildren, sister Sheila (Herb) and their children, Herbie Jr., Jamie, Benny, Brent, and their grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his brother Marcel, aunt Sarah-Jane, niece Meghan, nephews Damian and Ethan. He will also be missed many extended family and the many friends he considered family, he loved them all very much and would joke around with them whenever he saw them.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Jessica, parents Olive and Alfred, sister Gloria, brother Terry (Muffet), grandparents Christina Mandamin and Peter Green, his aunt Joyce, uncles Daniel, Frank and Wilfred, nephew Jonathan.

He had many careers, such as a fishing guide, daycare janitor, medical van driver, carpenter, heavy machine operator, log cutter, commercial fisherman, he was a hard working man, he loved everyone he had met and was willing to help anyone when needed. Clarence loved hunting and fishing, playing bingo, wild rice picking, trapping, playing hockey and spending time with family and friends.

He will be missed dearly, he was very loved by the people around him.

The family would like to thank Dr.’s and nurses and staff of 2nd Floor, and 3rd East at lake of the Woods District Hospital, to Char Melillo from Palliative Care, their neighbours Veronica Redsky and Brennan Wapioke, as well as Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre.

A wake service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:00am at David Kejick School Gymnasium, Shoal Lake 39, Ontario. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 10:00am at David Kejick School Gymnasium with burial to follow.
