A 14 year-old youth in Sioux Lookout has been charged with arson.

On the evening of Tuesday August 14 Sioux Lookout OPP were dispatched to a house fire in the area of Cornerstone Lane. While attending the scene, officers observed the home to be filled with smoke. The Sioux Lookout Fire Department entered the home and advised that there was clothing on fire and the fire had been put out. Investigation revealed that the fire had been intentionally set, and fire alarms were damaged causing them to be inoperable.

The male youth will appear in Sioux Lookout court on Tuesday  September 11.
