Ontario's Special Investigations Unit is asking for the public's assistance. Anyone with video of an altercation in Dryden over the weekend is asked to contact the province's Special Investigations Unit. Two investigators from the province's Special Investigations Unit are working on a case in Dryden.
They're looking into an altercation between an OPP officer and a driver. It happened on the eastbound lane of Highway 17 near a restaurant in Dryden last Saturday around 1:45 p.m., according to the SIU.
The 28-year-old man was taken to hospital for the assessment and treatment of a serious injury, following the traffic stop. The SIU mandate requires an investigation, whenever a police officer is involved in an incident that results in a serious injury to a civilian.
