The City of Kenora is reminding residents to drive safely, and only at the posted speed limits.
As the Norlen Bridge on Anderson Road is closed until September, residents have had to take an alternate route down Carlton Road. The city says that there has been increased traffic in the area, and there have been concerns about excessive speeds.
The public is reminded to travel at the posted 40 kilometres per hour speed limit, as the road has sharp curves, is narrow and winding, and is a gravel-based road. Motorists are reminded to slow down and use caution.
The OPP will be monitoring traffic on Carlton Road to address the concerns of excessive speeds.
The Norlen Bridge is scheduled to be closed until September 6.
