It was quite a night for Teresa Gallik, who is the new chair at Kenora Catholic.
"It's very exciting for me, and I look forward to working with our new director," she said, following the election.
Gallik is a hotel manager, who has served as a trustee since 2003, including the position of vice-chair. She succeeds Frank Bastone, and she was joined at last night's meeting by their incoming director of education, Derek Haime. He succeeds Phyllis Eikre.
After the meeting, Gallik also talked about their relationship with the new provincial government at Queen's Park.
"It's too early for us. We haven't heard. I think more in January we'll hear. So far, everything's the same," she said.
