The Red Lake and Ear Falls OPP have taken roughly $7,200 worth of methamphetamine off of the streets.
On Tuesday April 10, officers executed a search warrant for a Red Lake residence. Officers located roughly 24 grams of methamphetamine, along with other drug paraphernalia and evidence of drug trafficking. The approximate street value of the drugs is estimated at $7,200.
As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Red Lake resident Anthony Howell has been charged with:
- Trafficking a controlled substance – methamphetamine,
- Possession for the purposes of trafficking – methamphetamine,
- Possession of property obtained by crime.
The Red Lake / Ear Falls Detachments of the OPP, Community Street Crime Unit, OPP Northwest Emergency Response Team, OPP Canine Unit, OPP Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau and the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau were all involved in the investigation.
