The OPP have closed Hwy. 17 from the Manitoba border to Vermilion Bay and Dryden, along with Hwy. 71 to Sioux Narrows and Fort Frances, as the winter storm moves through.
MTO has also reported poor visibility on Hwy. 105 to Ear Falls and Red Lake.
Both provinces have also set up traffic cameras along the Trans-Canada. The Track My Plow offers updates on snow clearing on provincial highways in Ontario.
Viewers can actually see where the plow is working in their area.
On the way to Winnipeg, there are traffic cameras at the border, then again at Hadashville.
A winter storm system is bringing with it rain, ice pellets, freezing rain, flurries and blowing snow. It's expected to bring up to 30 cm of snow, until it subsides sometime tomorrow.
