Kenora is mourning the loss of a beloved former resident. Greg Lowe succumbed to cancer at age of 59 in Winnipeg over the weekend.
Lowe was born in Winnipeg, but moved to Kenora with his family when he was young. He enjoyed a successful career as a professional musician, but often made time to travel back to Kenora to spend time with family and friends.
Last year, Lowe release his Lake of the Woods documentary 'A History of Water', and was able to finish episode two, which will be released in the coming weeks.
Lowe was known for his many talents and acomplishments. Including composing music for theatre, concerts and ensembles, shooting video documentaries, scoring for film and TV, and a wide range of diverse live performances.
For the past 17 years he was a prominent member of the Ministers of Cool, and was well known for his days performing with The Lincoln's.
