The Redditt Bottle House has never looked better.
While most residents were enjoying the Thanksgiving Long Weekend, Chris Hopkins from Kenora’s Roofing Solutions spent his time giving back to the community. Hopkins provided the materials, and carried out the work himself to repair the roof of the Bottle House, free of charge.
The Bottle House’s roof was in need of repairs since 2016.
Made up of more than 25,000 bottles and 1,700 pounds of mortar, the house has been a staple of the town since 1973. It was originally built by Hank and Myrtle Deverell, who spent roughly 1,700 hours on the construction of the building.
