Highway 17 from Falcon Lake to Dryden and highway 71 from Kenora to Fort Frances has been opened by OPP and road crews.

The eastbound lane on highway 17, west of the Rush Bay scales, is blocked due to a disabled transport truck. Traffic control is currently in place.

Officers are reminding the public that even though the highway is open, motorists should take safety precautions when travelling in adverse conditions.
