Students who take the bus -- and their parents -- should watch for updates on morning bus routes. Forecasters with Environment Canada issued a fog warning this evening, but they say it's expected to get better by morning.

The latest forecast says a cold front moving in is expected to dissipate the fog by early Wednesday morning for most of northwestern Ontario.

The fog advisory is in effect for:

  • Kenora - Grassy Narrows - Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows - Nestor Falls - Morson

"Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring," it says in the warning.

"Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations," the advisory continued.

School bus operators are in communication with the operator for school boards in the district, the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium. It issues alerts to parents and students, whenever buses are cancelled or delayed.
