It will be a tough task.
An unprecedented initiative by Statistics Canada wants to learn more about municipalities.
Canada's Core Public Infrastructure survey has been released. The survey asks communities to provide information on the stock, condition, performance and asset management strategies of Canada's core public infrastructure assets. Things like roads, public housing, bridges and more will all be part of the survey.
Statistics Canada says that the information will be used for research, and to better understand the current condition of Canada's infrastructure. Statistics Canada says that this will help all levels of government to develop policies into supporting local infrastructure.
Communities have until the end of November to submit their survey.
