Due to the winter storm, students will have the day off today.

Buses will not be running this morning, and school buildings will not be open.

"On behalf of the Directors of Education for the  Kenora Catholic, Northwest Catholic, Keewatin-Patricia District School Boards and CSDC Aurores boreales, please be advised that ALL SCHOOLS have been closed for Tuesday, December 05 due to winter storm conditions and the forecast for tomorrow," said Judi Green of the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium.

In an email, Green noted the decision involves the following communities:

  • Kenora/Sioux Narrows
  • Dryden/Vermilion Bay
  • Red Lake/Ear Falls
  • Sioux Lookout
  • Ignace
  • Upsala
  • Pickle Lake
