The Kenora Sportsplex has been converted to a volleyball court a head of the OFSAA A Girls Volleyball Championships taking place in Kenora in March.
The event is being hosted by the St Thomas Aquinas High School Senior girls volleyball team.
Team Coach Megan Derouard talked about the court.
"This is definitely the state of the art. This is what, when you travel, once you get to the next level, or nationals and stuff, this is what they're using. It's a very different feel then a hardwood floor, but I think all the athletes that are coming really going to enjoy it. If I had to guess, I'd say about 95 per cent of the athletes that are coming have never gotten to play on a court like this before," she said.
The championships take place March 4-6.
