Vince passed away at his home in Grassy Narrows on May 21, 2023.

Vince (Vinny) was born in Kenora, Ontario. Vince was a friend to all. He had a huge generous heart. He was a man that would give the shirt off his back to anyone, even a stranger. He was strong and protective. He loved his years on the ice as a goalie. He was a man that always looked at the bright side of situations. It was a sure thing that when you met up with Vince, you would walk away laughing! One thing that his family and close friends will remember is his stubbornness. He was determined to live his life with joy and compassion.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Joseph Alfred and Mary Loon (maternal) and Mary Julia Kokopenace and Victor Kabestra (paternal) his loving sisters Crystal (Wilbur) and Erin (Eewie).

He is survived by his parents Ginny Loon and Aaron Kokopenace, honorary parents Anita and Terry Skead. Aunties, Joann, Lillian, and Linda Ackabee, Corrina Kokopenace. Uncles Tyrone and Bryan Kokopenace. His children, Jasmine (grandson Maa'iingun) Cintiro, Darius, Phoenix, Naomi, and Romeo. Eewie's children Elijah and Felicity.
