The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service say they are investigating a threat received this past weekend on the Attawapiskat First Nation.
During the playoffs of a hockey tournament, an arena attendant found a folded-up note with the message “Shooting Up Arena 7 pm”.
Five NAPS police officers were dispatched bearing rifles, to ensure the safety of the people attending the tournament.
Fortunately, police say the rest of the tournament was played without incident.
