The Kenora Rotary Club and members of the Interact Club are celebrating World Polio Day on Sunday, October 24, 2021 by holding a fundraising scavenger hunt on the Harbourfront.

Since 1988, Rotary International has been supporting the initiative to eradicate polio around the world.  As of 2021, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the two remaining countries dealing with the disease and this year's event will help raise awareness and funds for the cause.

The scavenger hunt begins at 10:00am on the Harbourfront and participants will be given partial photos of 20 different items between the float plane base and Husky the Muskie.  The person with the best photos will receive a trophy for their victory. The cost to participate is $25.00 for adults and free for children 11 and under.

The Kenora Rotary Club will also be selling World Polio Day cookies on the Harbourfront for $5.00, with proceeds going toward the World Polio Day fundraising effort.
