This morning’s closure of Highway 17 after a collision involving two tractor-trailer units has led to charges to one of the drivers.
Officers with the Dryden OPP say they responded to the collision shortly before 7 a.m. along with the Machin Volunteer Fire Department and Northwest Emergency Medical Services on Highway 17, west of Dryden.
The highway had to be closed due to the debris spread throughout both lanes of the highway and reopened a few hours afterwards. No injuries were reported.
As a result of the OPP’s investigation, 27-year-old Tejinder Singh of Winnipeg, Manitoba has been charged with:
- Unsafe Move Lane or Shoulder – Highway Traffic Act
