Officers with the Kenora OPP are asking the public to avoid the area near the Second Street South and Chipman Street intersection as they respond to an assault with a weapon.
The OPP’s Forensic Identification Team, K-9 Unit and multiple cruisers are on scene. The sidewalk is taped off and traffic cones are redirecting traffic.
Police add there is no threat to the public’s safety and one individual is in custody.
