After this weekend golfers and Kenora can hit the green at their leisure. Both Beauty Bay Golf Club, and the Kenora Golf and Country Club are open for the season. Head greens keeper at the Kenora Golf and Country Club Doug Novak talks about conditions.

"Right now, the golf course looks in great shape," he said. "Very excited to get the season started."

Of course, golf pro Jennifer Hollins is strongly suggesting golfers do some warm-ups and ease their way into the season, in order to avoid injury.

While the forecast is for rain and some cooler weather, the conditions are still well ahead of last season.
