The execution of a search warrant in Balmertown has led to drug trafficking charges for a Red Lake resident.

The Red Lake OPP say they executed the search warrant on April 29 on Sixth Street, seizing a quantity of methamphetamine and proceeds of property obtained by crime in the process.

As a result of the investigation, 36-year-old Brenden Kobluk of Red Lake is facing charges of:

- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000,
- Operation while prohibited,
- 2 x Failure to comply with release order,

Kobluk was held for an overnight bail hearing before being released. He’s set to appear in Red Lake courts on May 19 to answer to the charges.
