After nearly 12 years, the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation is saying farewell to its Executive Director.

Jess Rheault came into the position in November of 2009 overseeing fundraising, event planning, budget management, accounting, public relations, proposals, donor stewardship and liaison between hospital staff and LWDHF staff and board.

"Thank you for making these last 12 years amazing. Together we have purchased over 10.6 million dollars in equipment and renovation changes here at the hospital - and that's thanks to you, the community. It's been my honour and privilege to do this work for you. To come to work everyday and work with the community and our partners to raise money to make sure that the staff here have what they need to take care of you."" she says.

Rheault says she is moving on to another community-minded job opportunity, which is expected to start next month. At this time it is not confirmed who will step into the role of Executive Director, but Rheault knows that the foundation will continue to strive.

"I'm sad to be leaving as this has been a big part of my life for over a decade, but I know the foundation is in good hands. Not just the team, but in your hands in the community," she said.

Rheault will continue to be a monthly donor to the foundation and is looking forward to being able to purchase her own LWDHF 50/50 tickets.

Her official last day as the hospital foundation's Executive Director was Thursday, July 22, 2021.

"Thank you for helping your hospital help you."

And thank you for what you've done for our community. We wish you the best in your next endeavor, Jess!
