After cancellation of the Kenora Bass International last year due to the pandemic, the Board of Directors has announced KBI will be back this year, with a few changes to registering and for now, the weigh-ins.
Co-chair Cori Libitka explained how registration will take place.
"Between June 1 at 8:00am and June 4 at 8:00pm, anyone who registers and pays in full during those four days, will be entered into a draw for starting positions. We just decided we're going to open it for those four days, really encourage everybody who wants to fish, to do it within those first four days, so they can hopefully have a good starting position. At 8:01pm on June 4, and later, they'll just be added to the bottom of the pile," she says.
Weigh-ins will also be a little different this year. Organizers have decided on a virtual weigh-in, so everyone interested in the daily counts will be able to watch online.
KBI is scheduled for August 5-7, 2021 at the Kenora Harbourfront.
