Emergency responders are still on the scene of the Clarion Lakeside Inn in Kenora.
Kelly Kolisnik explains that the fire started underneath the building, and a vehicle was also burnt in the blaze.
“There was a big fire at the Clarion. It was a car on fire and there was smoke coming out from the bottom of the building,” said Kolisnik.
Heavy smoke could be seen throughout downtown Kenora. Resident Greg Allan described the scene.
“We’re seeing a lot of smoke coming from underneath the building. A lot of fire trucks, a lot going on here right now. A lot of people are putting in some really hard work. Thick black smoke coming from underneath.”
Jimmy Koo, manager of the Clarion and Travelodge in Kenora, has told KenoraOnline that everyone has made it of Clarion out of safe.
