Both the City of Kenora and the Northwestern Health Unit are concerned about children's teeth in northern Ontario.

Recent changes to eligibility criteria for Healthy Smiles Ontario means less than 80 children out of the previous 4,000 will receive dental care. That means 49 of every 50 children who were previously seen will now be excluded.

Both the city and the health unit are now calling on the Ministry of Health to revise their funding changes. They're sending a letter to the Minister of Health and Long-term Care, Dr. Eric Hoskins, Kenora MPP Sarah Campbell, and NOMA.
