Kenora drivers are urged to keep an eye out for pedestrians in the Highway 17 and Fifth Street South area, as the city has installed a new crosswalk at the lights.
That’s the intersection by the Days Inn, Kenora’s A&W and Home Hardware.
Both motorists and pedestrians are asked to proceed with caution as everyone adjusts to the new sidewalk, and you’re asked to take extra time to ensure that the crosswalk is clear before proceeding onto Highway 17 east.
The city adds staff also installed a pedestrian crossing signal that is activated together with the northbound green light on Fifth Street South.
