Many Kenora residents took the chance to clean their vehicles, and support a good cause. Yesterday the Squeaky Clean Detail Shop held their first annual Squeak-A-Thon. Morgan Winchar of Squeaky Clean explains the event.
"All of the pledge proceeds go to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, and it was $35 to clean you vehicle or boat," he said.
The event took place under the Whitecap Pavilion, and also featured a charity barbecue and beer gardens. Cars, trucks and RV's were cleaned inside the pavilion, and there were also 16 slip for boat owners looking to get their vessels cleaned. The event ran for a full twelve hours, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
