NWHU prepares for move

P1020170
Staff at the headquarters for the Northwestern Health Unit are getting ready for their move at the end of July. Contractors are continuing renovations at the old Mt. Carmel School, as they prepare for the new tenants.

The 50 year-old building was closed in 2007 and sold two years ago for $100 to Wayne Degagne. The Northwest Health Unit announced that they were leasing the property in November of 2011. The health unit is looking at the location, in order to have enough room to house all of their staff. It is expected that the once the lease runs out at the health unit's Market Square location, they will be moving to the location as well.
